Molecular Sequence of Kisspeptin-10 Peptide
H–Tyr–Asn–Trp–Asn–Ser–Phe–Gly–Leu–Arg–Phe–NH₂ ®
- H– indicates the free amine group at the N-terminus.
- –NH₂ indicates C-terminal amidation (common for Kisspeptin peptides to enhance stability).
- Kisspeptin-10 is the biologically active decapeptide fragment of the longer Kisspeptin-54.®
- In research models, it acts as a potent agonist of the GPR54 (KISS1R) receptor and plays a vital role in regulating GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone) secretion and reproductive function.
Handling and Storage of Kisspeptin-10 Peptide
The peptides should be stored in a cool and dry place to maximize their stability. Reconstituted liquid Kisspeptin-10 should be stored at 2–8 °C for short-term storage.®
For Kisspeptin-10 lyophilized peptides, it is recommended to store them in the refrigerator between 2°C and 8°C (36°F–46°F) in an air-sealed container. ®

Overview of the Kisspeptin-10 Peptide
Kisspeptin-10 is a synthetic decapeptide. It has the potential to mimic the bioactive fragment of the endogenous peptide encoded by the KISS1 gene. In experimental models, the peptide may influence neuroendocrine signaling, particularly in regulating the hypothalamic-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis. ®
Working Mechanism of Kisspeptin-10 Peptide
Laboratory research suggests that by binding to the receptor KISS1R (also known as GPR54) on GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus, Kisspeptin-10 stimulates the release of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH).
The hormone, in turn, promotes the secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) from the pituitary gland. These hormones are essential for reproductive function and sex steroid production, including testosterone in laboratory models. ®
Additionally, preliminary studies suggest its impact on memory and learning, mood regulation, and metabolic pathways in genetic and chronic diseases. ®
Besides potential working mechanisms, the peptide also has some side effects under laboratory settings.
- Mood fluctuations
- Nausea
- Headache
TFA Salt Form
Kisspeptin-10 is provided in its TFA salt form. Residual trifluoroacetate content is typically up to 10% w/w. It depends on the final formulation and lyophilization conditions. The exact TFA content can be confirmed by batch-specific COA.
