Description
What is CDP Choline Sodium Powder?
Citicoline, also known as CDP-choline, is a naturally occurring compound produced by the body. When referring to the substance produced naturally inside the body, scientists use the term “CDP choline,” while “Citicholine” is used when it is administered as a research compound.
Citicholine can be potentially metabolized into two compounds: cytidine and choline. Both of these compounds have the potential ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and enter the brain, where they may contribute to the resynthesis of CDP-choline within brain cells. CDP-choline is then utilized for the production of phospholipids.
Clinical studies have demonstrated that Citicoline potentially exhibits nootropic properties, providing cognitive enhancement and neuroprotection.
