What is Alarelin Acetate?
Alarelin Acetate is a synthetic luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) agonist peptide. It is the acetate version of the hypothalamic peptide LHRH. This synthetic polypeptide functions as a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist to stimulate the pituitary gland. Such action leads to the secretion of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
